Excavation kits seem to be very popular right now, and this series ranks at the top of the list for me. These are bigger than most kits on the market, and with one of the cool dinosaur kits, the end result is a sturdy, antique-looking dinosaur skeleton that can be displayed (I have one at my desk right now).
